One of Australia's most spectacular and scenic trail ultras

GOW will not restart in 2023 due to trail damage
Important announcement: Due to trail degradation on the Great Ocean Walk and the need for significant trail maintenance, all Parks Victoria event permits on the trail have been withheld for 2023. As a consequence, the new team won't get to restart GOW100s until 2024.
Please note: A new team is stepping in to organise GOW going forward. It will still be the same magical course with the same grassroots style of trail running that made GOW famous, but with a new team at the helm. Welcome Chris Ord and Andy Payne of Tour de Trails and Hut2Hut fame.
After a lengthy hiatus of 3 years due to Covid the plans are to bring GOW back, but not until 2024. While things might be a little different, it will still be the same awesome course, winding through the Otway forests, along wind-swept beaches and climbing rugged headlands. Thank you for your patience while work continues to restart this classic event and give you a day to remember back on the GOW trails.
Yours,
Andy Hewat
former Race Director
